Which teams can I play in?
As long as you meet one of the eligibility criteria, there
are several teams you can play in - in fact there is more than one
type of chess that you can play for Warwickshire!
Over the
board (OTB) chess
This is standard chess played against an
opponent at the board, using a clock to manage your time.
Correspondence
chess
This is chess played with plenty of time
to think about your moves. You play against an opponent who
can be many miles away from you. You make your moves by post
or email.
Junior chess
This is standard chess for players aged
under 18 years on or before 31 August immediately before the start
of the current season on 1 September. In other words anyone in
school or college up to and including the upper sixth
form.
