County Chess Eligibility
Am I eligible to play for Warwickshire?
According to the official rules, to
represent Warwickshire (or any other) county, you must meet one of
the criteria below specified by the English Chess
Federation.
To represent Warwickshire you must
satisfy at least one of:
-
-
-
-
-
Two months immediate previous and
present membership of a club either geographically located in
the Traditional County of Warwickshire, or affiliated to the
Warwickshire Chess Association.
Notes:
A player may represent Warwickshire only
if they have not played for any other county in the same season in
the particular competition.
Leagues
According to the rules as above,
leagues do not give you or your club any eligibility to play for
Warwickshire (or any other county).
This makes sense because many leagues
span counties, for example clubs in the Birmingham and
Leamington leagues belong to different traditional counties, such as
Staffordshire, Worcestershire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and
Northamptonshire.
Clubs Affiliated to Warwickshire
There are no clubs affiliated to the
