When planning events, please use this calendar
as a key resource to try and avoid clashes with other events.
The chess calendar includes all known
published events. If you are aware of any more, let
me know!
Everyone may help by notifying me of all
events (including provisional dates) that can be
published.
This will be very useful for other
organisers to avoid clashes where possible.
Do consider junior events when planning adult
events and vice versa.
Note that older juniors U16-U18 typically have
school exam commitments in January, May and June.
I hope this resource helps organisers to plan
to provide maximum opportunity for participation by all ages
in as many chess events as possible.
THANK
YOU!

It includes adult and junior chess
competitions run by the WCA or that teams from
Warwickshire are participating in. It also includes chess
tournaments held in nearby counties, as well as
national chess events.
To make things easy for you I have added all the
entry forms I can find and converted them to PDF format as the Adobe
Reader is free.

Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, West
Midlands, Worcestershire.

Your Responsibility when using this Calendar
The aim is to make this chess calendar as complete
and as accurate as possible for players and
organisers. It is usually updated every week with information
obtained and used in good faith. However an event may have
changed, there may be a mistake in the information, or the
information may be incomplete. Therefore you must
always check directly with the organisers before entering
or visiting any event. For example if an event is not shown as
being in the ECF Grand Prix (*) or ECF Graded (~) and you want to
know whether or not your games will be graded, then you should
contact the organiser. Good luck and enjoy your
chess!
