Birmingham & District Chess League
History
The Birmingham & District Chess League was
founded over one hundred years ago and is the largest chess league
in England.
Area
The boundary of the league is a circle with a 24
mile diameter centred at Stephenson Place in the City of
Birmingham.
Therefore the league spans out beyond Warwickshire to include towns
in the neighbouring Traditional Counties of Staffordshire and
Worcestershire.
Affiliation
The league is not affiliated to
Warwickshire. Refer to
section '2. Objects' in the league
constitution.
The WCA has a delegate to the league because its
centre is in Warwickshire. Click here for contact details of the WCA

Eligibility to play for Warwickshire?
According to the official rules, leagues do not give
any eligibility to play
for Warwickshire (or for any other county).
