Millennium Chess Junior Chess Tournament

Organiser

Nick Thomas

Report

The first Millennium Chess Junior Tournament took place on Saturday March 6th at King Henry VIII Preparatory School in Coventry.

The Warwickshire Chess Association junior titles were incorporated into the event which encouraged a good turnout of around 150 children ranging in age from 6 to 18.

The tournament was a great success due mostly to the professionalism and hard work of the control team, coaching team, catering staff and helpers.  Special thanks to staff at the school for allowing the event to take place and for putting in a tremendous amount of work to make it a success.  Thanks and well done to all those who attended.
